CLUB SHOP NOW OPEN

The eagerly anticipated opening of the club shop is now here.

Match-day shirts, training shirts, training hoodies, training shorts and training trousers are now available to buy direct from our kit suppliers MKK. We are looking into them producing some match-day jumpers and caps for the club too.

All clothing comes complete with the club's logo and name.

WINTER HARD-BALL TRAINING

16th August 2013

The club has arranged with the Sussex Cricket Board to hold an 'Introduction to Hard-ball' cricket course starting in September.

The course will include 3 x 1.5 hour sessions at Battle Sports Centre, Claverham. The sessions will take place monthly from 4:00-5:30pm on:

• Sunday 29th September
• Sunday 20th October
• Sunday 24th November

The cost of the course is £6 per session or £15 for all three sessions and will be run by myself and a Sussex CC coach. All hard ball equipment (pads etc.) will be supplied however if you have your own equipment feel free to bring it. The club strongly recommends that all participants wear batting briefs/shorts and bring with them an abdominal guard (box). 

If you would like to attend this course, please let me know asap by phone or email. The course will be open to 12 participants only on a first-come-first-served basis.

The press release has been sent to all agencies that have been involved with the club and also the local Observer newspapers in the hope of getting a mention in the next few weeks so keep an eye out.

SID THE SHARK HOLIDAY COURSE @ BATTLE

Sussex CC are offering a special 'BRING A FRIEND' discount for their Holiday Course at Battle Sports Centre on Monday 12th, 13th and 14th August.

There is a softball course running from 9am - 12pm and hardball from 1pm - 4pm.

Courses are led by their community coaches and have been a success all over the county!

The original price for three days on a course (Softball or Hardball) is £45, BUT if you bring a friend, it will cost just £36 for the three days!!!

END OF SEASON

Next Wednesday (7th) at 3pm the club will be holding some fun intra-club games to celebrate the end of our successful first season at Catsfield Playing Fields. All players that have represented the club both in training and at games along with their parents are welcome (if there are enough parents I will be willing to consider a players v parents game of sorts.) For parents that are unable to stay, I would envisage concluding around 5pm.

I need to take a few photos on the day for a number of reasons but if all players could wear their Chance to Shine training shirts they have been given that would be a great help. I will also need to get some player and parent feedback throughout the afternoon to be used in a 'press release' and so that I can start to prepare for next season and winter training.

I will be using the session to see what I need to do and how long it is going to take to host our home games next season, if any parents wish to do the same in terms of preparing some food/refreshments for after the games then I will be both more than happy and grateful.

There will be no charge for this event however I have decided to run the Battel Bonfire Boyes 10k in September this year to raise funds for some much need hardball equipment for the colts so, feel free to donate to this good cause instead.
