Club History

Very little information about Catsfield Cricket Club is available in the form of records and other documents, but most members of the Club know that the club was founded on 22nd September 1799, when Edward Quaife of Catsfield played a Mr. Martin of Battle, at Hooe Common, for ten guineas a side, Wickets were pitched at 1pm.

Currently, the senior team play regularly at weekends from April through to September against other local teams and villages including Crowhurst, Ashburnham, Sedlescombe and Bodiam.
